The project consists in:
A selection of seven artists lived and worked together during two weeks in Vistabella del Maestrat in November 2016. They were selected after presenting a project to the commission within an open call placed in September.
Three film makers recorded the artists and interviewed them in order to know more about their research. Even local people were engaged to understand the impact of the project within their reality. The film makers took images which will be part of a documentary of the experience and a film, as well as short daily films that were presented reflecting what was happening to the outside audience. This material will be used by Conselleria de Turismo, the main sponsor, to promote the area and the project.
One photographer made a shooting to catch the soul of the artworks to document the project and produce photographs that will illustrate the pieces for the final exhibition and so on.
This project was presented in EACC of Castellón, MARTE Art Fair of Castellón, to students in the UJI and during a media day with the presence of Mr Vicent Marzà (Conseller de Cultura).
The experience had a final exhibition the last weekend of the residency, the days 19-20 November where the audience could see videos of the artists explaining their works and interviews to local people. The final result was the creation of an artistic itinerary around “volta al pinet”, where the works are placed permanently and the experience materialised.
